As the trail keeps getting better and better, I was anxious to get on the trail. Made it ten miles to the first cattle trough. It was a little dirtier than normal and took longer to filter. Kept eating all the food possible to lighten up the pack. Today I went over the highest mountain yet. Burro Peak got up to 8,022 feet. Took a nice break and caught a couple overlooks before heading down to Mud Springs. The day finally stayed up high for some good views. I kept going around mountains and in and out of washes. Had to carry plenty of water for the dry section. Late in the day it started sprinkling for an hour, but I must of been on the edge of it. Called it a day on top of a little mountain.
