The trail is roughly 745 miles long.

Great Divide Trail goes thru Alberta and British Columbia.

The hiking season is short and the weather can be extremely volatile.

Snow can fall at any time of the year.

Lowest point:   3,461 ft at Old Fort Point 

Highest point:   8,497 ft Pass near Michele Lakes

5 National Parks, 8 Provincial Parks, 3 Wildland Provincial Parks,  2 wilderness areas, and 2 Special Management Areas
