I’m starting to get into a good routine of getting out of camp at 6:30. Had a great breakfast. I got it from the hiker box in Monson. Filled me up, I didn’t take a break till a beautiful overlook of the mountains. Was wonderful morning, nothing but layers of cobwebs layered all over me. That’s one of things that irritate me to the max. You think I would be used to it by now, being I strive to be the first on trail. It still flusters me like no other. Ran into some steep climbs today. Literally, straight up the mountain. Once I got to the top it was just lots of short ups and downs. Made it to Old Buzzards trail magic. Nice guy that hiked in 08. There was tons of Nobo’s hanging out. Drank a pounder and chilled for an hour or two. With time ticking, I moved onto the next shelter. Was a short day only 21 miles. People t camp thought it was a great mileage day, but I knew I should of done more with rain in the forecast the next 3 days. I have 48 miles to Gorham NH. Maybe 2 solid rainy days, possibly 3 to get there.
