Woke up and ate as much as possible at the continental breakfast. On the way out of town, I stopped by the Dollar Store to buy some super glue. After the first day of hiking my toe protector started to peel off. The sun hit hard as I walked across the desert floor. There is no mercy in the desert, it proved to be that way walking by lots and lots of bones. The last quarter of the day turned out spectacular. Started hitting some mountains, which turned into an amazing hiking trail. The smell was sooooo welcoming. The smell of the pine trees was reviving. Passed by some more mines. Kept looping around flowers, trees, and more vegetation. Found a decent spot at a junction and called it a day.
